Høgskolen i Finnmark (Finnmark University College) was established on the 1st of august 1994 and is an average size norwegian university college with around 1800 students and 240 employees. The university college is on of 24 public university colleges in Norway and is a result of the merge of the public university colleges in Alta and Hammerfest in 1994. The university colleges that were merged was Finnmark sykepleierhøyskole, Finnmark distriktshøgskole and Alta lærerhøgskole.

We offer different types of classes, such as aerobic, strength and spinning. You will also find a fitness room with high quality training equipment, weights, suspension training, Kinesis and more.

At Spenst Alta you will always be offered help with your exercise planning or guidance during work-out together with our fitness instructors. We also have skilled Personal Trainers if you want to achieve a specific goal or have higher aims (not included in your membership).
